Our Product:
The largest structure at any farm, and no exception here, it is 4.5 inches high, by 5.5 inches wide and 4 inches deep. It is framed with vertical supporting logs and square cross beams. The sides and roof are made from basswood and balsa stained at varying depths for a weathered look. Flocked with fine green turf all around, and shrubs of varying size and color on two sides. The barn has two main doors (they do not open) with square framing and handles. It also has a hay loft door (door does not open). For realism no structure or fence has a base!!! There is nothing worse than to have a nice table top of one main color only to have the base of the structures interfere or stand out! Bases usually tend to interfere with the resident terrain features. With my structures you are able to place them as you wish and they will blend into the ground as they do in real life. There are no stands or platforms to ruin the realistic effect! Whether you are war gaming with miniatures or using a train set, your terrain will look authentic and reflect the countryside.
Historical Description:
A barn is a barn folks! But during the Civil War barns were used as headquarters, supply depots, and in the case of this American Memory, as a hospital in the battle of Antietam. Antietam is also known as the battle of Sharpsburg, MD.
