Chevaux-de-Frise |

|
Our Product: Each section is about two inches long by one and one half inches high. Made of hand-stained wood, each two inch section contains from 8 to 9 sets of spikes. Each Chevaux-de-Frise is flocked just a little so as to give it a 'used' look. The spikes are not sharpened so no one can be injured. Historical Description:
Used extensively throughout the war, these artificial obstructions provided cover from cavalry as well as infantry. Each section was usually made from a ten-foot or twelve-foot long log and pierced with numerous sharp spikes. Each spike measured about 10 feet long. The Chevaux-de-Frise was a feared defense.
