Palisades

Our Product:
Each section varies in length and height as no two sections of fence were assembled identically. All Palisades are made from hand-stained wood and hand-sharpened for a realistic display. Each section of palisade stands on its own flocked Styrofoam section and may have stones and small shrubs attached. The back (defenders' side) of each section contains two cross beams.

Historical Description:

Palisades were made from logs about 11 feet long and sharpened at the tip. Cross beams were placed in the back so that the fence could not be easily pulled down. In some instances one cross beam was placed at the bottom of the palisade and buried for extra strength. Palisades provided some protection from direct musket fire.
