Redoubt and Grand Redoubt

Our Product:

The Redoubt pictured is oval and measures about 2 inches high, by 7 inches at length and 5 inches deep. We can make whatever shape you desire. The base of the redoubt is made of wood and flocked with 'dirt', grass and stone. The edges contain varying degrees of dirt, smaller stones and larger stones. The 'logs' are made of hand-stained wood as are the wooden walls making up the inside of the redoubt. This reflects the construction methods of the times. On the inside, the redoubt has a 'firing' step and is flocked to resemble heavy usage.
The
Grand Redoubt is much larger, has an entry way and has wooden firing steps as can be seen in the picture to the right
All redoubts have a place for a flag pole and come with two poles. The flag you see in this picture is used with permission and courtesy of
Warflag.com. You can go there and print your own copy of just about any flag at no cost to you. Trust me this site is super and has just about any flag for your gaming experience!

Description:

Redoubt Fortifications were constructed from earth and timber and usually in specific shapes. These fortifications were used by either infantry and or artillery as needed. When used by infantry firing steps were built into the pit. In this fashion the infantry could reload while not becoming a target. For more information please click here.
